Another place for my ramblings
Shanahan said team docs, including Andrews, cleared RGIII, "We would not play (him) if there was further risk of him injuring that LCL."
To his somewhat small credit, Shanahan did say, "I'll probably second guess myself," regarding leaving RGIII in there.
Shanahan claims RGIII told him, "I guarantee I'm not injured…Trust me…I want to be in there." Shanahan added, "I couldn't disagree with him"
RGIII may have legitimately passed protocol, but remember, Skins also cleared him less than a week after suffering a concussion.
And this isn't a case of result = hindsight = criticism. It was pretty obvious RGII wasn't right.
Yet another head coach that shuns health of a player because of a desire to win.
All credit to RGIII for trying to tough it out, but blame will rightfully fall on Shanahan tonight.
