What Britain has done for the Olympics - Telegraph

Ever since London 2012 sparked into glorious, golden life, there has been much discussion of what the Olympics say about Britain. In particular, the splendid venues, the clockwork organisation, the smiling volunteers and an unprecedented medal haul made us realise that this is not such a bad country after all - that we can organise the grandest events, perform on the grandest stage, and generally hold our heads that bit higher.
